It’s almost been one year since the last visit, so it was time for the annual trip to Lyme Regis for a spot of sea fishing from the wall.
Serious fishers would not entertain such a place, however for the lazy just or for the day types like us it is a perfect venue. Not so hot this time of years in many ways, food stalls not open very long and cold..
Today high tide was at 2230, so of course we arrived at 1235!!
The tide was almost fully out, but we still set up. Having walked past the Herbie’s snack bar on the way to our venue we asked what time did they expect to shut, 4pm they said. This turned out to be complete bollocks as when we attempted to head over for food at 3pm the bloody shutters were down and they were closed!!!
So we go without hot food… Which for me was a big disappointment… Luckily Neil had the Salt n Cheese biscuits we rely on.. aka TUC.
Dave T was first to catch, then me, then Dave was on a roll. Lots of little Pouting though, in the evening he caught 2 Dogfish and Neil caught a small codling, all of which were returned to the sea.
