Yes, it’s that time that all parents both deaf and look forward to at the same time!
The dread is the need to goto the schools to buy new shirts and blouses, trousers or skirts. But guess what.. Yes all the other parents have panic bought all the stock so all that is left is sizes for freaks. So what do you do? You go on a pointless goose chase to all the other shops to try and find something… If you are lucky you may have succeeded in getting one item that is the correct size. When is the new stock due, why of course it’s easy after the school date they return by. Since when was it an obligation to retire and replace your entire wardrobe for all every year? That coupled with the restock of all the pens etc, do pens only last a year??
Get through all this and your child is back to school, this is the happy part as the last 5-6 weeks of constant questions and “Can I” or “I want to”.
